4 Easy Ways To Relief Headache - Vegelia - Sunrider products for a healthy lifestyle

Having headache is annoying and sometimes it is difficult for us to avoid. Headaches can appear almost automatically when when we are under pressure.

A headache is a condition of mild to severe pain in the head. It can also attack the upper back or neck. There are different types of headache, but most of the time headaches are brought on by stress, sitting in front of a computer for too long, loud noises, etc.

One of the main causes of headache is tension in the muscles of the neck, scalp and jaw. We usually deal with it by resting or consuming over-the counter Tylenols or Advile to relieve our pain. However, what else could we do?

Obviously, we cannot sleep at the office. In addition, we might run of medication when the headache strikes.

Do not worry! The easiest way to handle a headache is through massage. Bonus: You can do it just about anywhere!

Massage is the practice of applying pressure or vibration to the soft tissues of the body, to heal injury, relieve psychological stress, manage pain, improve circulation and relieve tension.

When we suffer from headache, we can help ourselves with self-massage.

Simple and easy, everybody can do it, either at work or home.

Here are four easy ways to massage your headache away.

1. Masssage the eye area -- Close your eyes. Place your middle fingers just under your eyes, above the cheekbones. Massage that area gently but firmly in a circular motion for 1 minute.

2. Eyes to Nose Massage – Using your thumb, go along the underside of eyebrows (along the bone on top of eye socket). Feel where this bone meets the bridge of your nose and eyes and find a point where there is a small indentation.

Putting very gentle pressure, press your thumbs into the points. You can do it four times by holding and pressing on that area for 10 seconds each time.

3. Neck Massage -- Move the middle fingers of your hands to the back of your head and you'll feel a point that you can massage at the base of your skull. Massage for a minute using gentle finger tips in a circular motion.

4. Scalp Massage – Let the palms of your hands massage your scalp at the top of your skull gently for about a minute.

Once you have done all these massages, take a deep breath. Lift your shoulders towards your ears for five to 10 seconds to relieve the remaining pain, and then let them drop back down into their natural position.

You are going to feel better if you do that a couple of times. These massages will relieve your headache and your head will feel lighter.
